Tomorrow we may sail in ships  Mahar, ’ulai nafliga ba-sfinot 
מָחָר, אוּלַי נַפְלִיגָה בַּסְּפִינוֹת
From Eilat beach to Ivory Coast,  Mé-hof ’Éylat `ad Hof-Shènehav, 
מֵחוֹף אֵילַת עַד חוֹף שֶׁנְהָב,
And on the old ruins  Ve-`al ha-mashhatot ha-yeshanot 
וְעַל הַמַּשְׁחָתוֹת הַיְּשָׁנוֹת
We will stock oranges.  Yat`inu tapuhé zahav.

And if not tomorrow, then the day after tomorrow!  Ve-’im lo mahar, ’az mahorotayim! 
וְאִם לֹא מָחָר אָז מָחֳרָתַֽיִם!
 
Tomorrow, maybe in all the paths  Mahar, ’ulai be-khol ha-mish`olim, 
,מָחָר, אוּלַי בְּכָל הַמִּשְׁעוֹלִים,
A lion will lead the flock.  ’Ari be-`édèr tson yinehag. 
אֲרִי בְּעֵֽדֶר צֹאן יִנְהַג.
Tomorrow will ring by thousands  Mahar yaku be-’èlèf `inbalim 
מָחָר, יַכּוּ בְּאֶֽלֶף עִנְבָּלִים
All holiday bells.  Hamon pa`amonim shèl hag. 
הָמוֹן פַּעֲמוֹנִים שֶׁל חַג.
 
Tomorrow a thousand neighborhoods will raise  Mahar, yaqumu ’èlèf shikunim 
מָחָר, יָקוּמוּ אֶֽלֶף שִׁכּוּנִים
And a song will fly on the balconies,  Ve-shir ya`uf ba-mirpasot, 
וְשִׁיר יָעוּף בַּמִּרְפָּסוֹת,
And lots of anemones and tulips  U-shlal kalaniyot ve-tsiv`onim 
וּשְׁלַל כַּלָּנִיּוֹת וְצִבְעוֹנִים
Will rise out of the rubble.  Ya`alu mi-tokh ha-harisot. 
יַעֲלוּ מִתּוֹךְ הַהֲרִיסוֹת.
 
Tomorrow when the army will take off its uniform  Mahar, kshè-ha-tsava yifshot madav, 
מָחָר, כְּשֶׁהַצָּבָא יִפְשֹׁט מַדָּיו,
Our heart will stand to attention,  Libénu ya`avor le-dom, 
לִבֵּֽנוּ יַעֲבֹר לְדֹם,
Then each man will build with his both hands  ’Ahar kol ’ish yivnè bi-shté yadav 
אַחַר כָּל אִישׁ יִבְנֶה בִּשְׁתֵּי יָדָיו
What he dreams of today…  ’èt ma shè-hu halam ha-yom… 
אֶת מַה שֶׁהוּא חָלַם הַיּוֹם…
